Metallica have played thousands of gigs, but that doesn’t mean they don’t slip up from time to time. In this case, Kirk Hammett has literally slipped up on his wah pedal and it was all caught on camera.
According to Consequence Of Sound, while playing a gig in Milan, the band were hammered with some pretty heavy rain that naturally made the stage slippery as hell. Thanks to a conveniently placed camera attached to Hammett’s pedalboard, we can see the moment it all went sideways.Download Our App
It happened as Hammett was nailing out his solo from ‘Moth To Flame’, taken from Hardwired…To Self Destruct, before he nails the ground.
Ummm- I slipped on my wet wah pedal.
It rained so much I felt like I was playing guitar in the shower. #MetInMilan @Metallica pic.twitter.com/BbOamgkKhF

Let’s hope Hammett has better luck when Metallica hit Australia with Slipknot later this year. Check out all the deets for that tour here.
